This mural project was created in partnership with Groundswell NYC and the Brownsville Community Justice Center. We worked with a group of justice impacted youth as part of the workforce development program. Over the course of many sessions the group developed the theme and imagery for the mural through brainstorming and art-making sessions. With the help of teaching artists the youth painted the mural on polytab cloth panels in an office/workshop setting. These panels were later installed on the wall at the corner of Dumont Ave and Rockaway Ave in Brooklyn.
